The bipartisan CME Group PAC is an essential tool that strengthens our voice with federal and state legislators about the vital role that CME Group markets play across our economy. Legislative proposals to reshape regulatory requirements and market structure, as well as the ever-present threats of financial transaction taxes and user fees, have the potential to cause long-lasting damage to our markets. Having a strong voice as these policy changes are considered helps produce positive outcomes for the derivatives markets and the participants who rely on them.

CME Group’s PAC is a voluntary contribution program for eligible employee and exchange members that makes contributions, on a bi-partisan basis, to political candidates who understand the important role derivatives markets play in the global economy and the policies that promote the continued growth and efficient operation of these markets.

Charitable Matching Program
CME Group PAC serves as a voice for eligible members, shareholders and employees to participate in the political process – it also provides contributors the opportunity to make a difference through the charitable matching program. CME Group PAC contributors can make a difference by choosing a charitable organization to receive a donation based on their contribution to the CME Group PAC. CME Group PAC’s charity matching program will match for contributions of $5,000 at 150% and 125% for contributions of $2,500 to $4,999. All contributions of $50 to $2,500 will receive a 100% match.
In 2024, 187 charitable organizations benefited from the CME Group PAC Charitable Matching Program, receiving a combined total of $753,300 in donations.
How it Works
- Make a contribution of $50 or more to CME Group PAC
- CME Group will make a charitable donation in your name to the 501c3 charity of your choice
- To select the charity to which you wish to contribute, fill out the Charitable Donation Form and submit it
*All charitable match requests are subject to CME Group PAC Executive Committee approval
